Fun Sexy Spy Movie

Image
When you hear that Guy Ritchie makes a new film... You get excited. Well I got excited. Then I saw the trailer.... It was like old style Bond had a facelift and so much fun!  I sort of forgot about the RDJ Sherlock Holmes, so in my mind I only had his fun crime and gangster films.  Speaking of which, are you watching The Bake off? Or better yet the Jo Brand's Extra Slice? Well actor from Lock Stock is a big fan and was on the show. So fun! Honestly give it a try! But back to the film. I have been informed that the original show was a good fun, and has been enjoyed by many. Well being Russian and that it hasn't been daubed, so I have no idea!! However I sure enjoyed the film Great plot! Fun plot... Not necessary believable in some places (I mean it should have been more complicated to get some one out of East Berlin), but that makes a fun spy film.  Go see it. I do not want to give any spoilers... But it was fun, with a traditional Guy Rit...

And if you sing ... sing sing sing!

It was really busy few weeks... We all over worked at work... And finally Sarah came to visit! And she can move her arm:) So we went shopping... wining and dining.... Also breakfast making, coffee drinking and bitching about things! How funny is my named spelled?! :) Cuteness from Tricia.  It is nice to know that I am still part of the team and I got lots and lots of hello and hug of people at my old office. Also an offer of my job back, but with no job in January... Oh well!!  Also it is really hard to find a coat for me... So I've ended up after 2 days of searching with a beautiful navy number from Mango in a sexy military style. And we were celebrating Sarah's Broth day.... Yes I said a broth day, my phone auto corrected it! Crazy right:) I hope she had a good birthday with us... But no one embarrassed Sarah to no end by singing Happy Birthday. I was so counting on it! Yes, I am evil some times. And then we went to see Travis.... Oh...

My Addiction... TV Series...

So I had these 5 days off for my birthday... Oh it was so lovely!  I went to see Hobbit twice, by the way it is much better in 2D....  I also saw Rise of the Guardians... very nice... so I though "I shall find something else to watch"... It was actually Hobbit related well dwarf from Hobbit and major men candy Aidan Turner. So for the past few days I have been watching Being Human... and today I am up-to-date! BBC people do the great series... if you don't agree, check this list out!  Coupling, Black Books, Dr. Who, Life on Mars, Spooks, Sherlock, Pride and Prejudiced .. even Eastenders... Now last one been on the screens for decades now!  And what great writers, actors too.. Also.... Men Candy Alert! Jack Davenport, Dylan Moran, Colin Firth, Matthew Macfayden, David Tennant, Jack Barrowman, Martin Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch and of course Russel Tovey and Aidan Truner...  So I sat down and I actually found ...

Some of these dwarfs are too hot to be dwarfs! Hobbit

This is what I said to Owen after watching The Hobbit... We both were very excited about this film coming out... How can you not be when from every single magazine cover there is Martin Freeman just staring at you with his hobbit ears?! and he was from Office.... and now he is internationally recognizable! I actually never been to the cinema on the opening  night...  Opening night at Cineworld was a bit different where was a dude who gave a speech and even sang the song. He seemed very excited about the whole thing:)  I haven't actually read The Hobbit an unexpected journey... I did start reading it once, but some how it just didn't go. And surly I did not read the lord of the rings... Too much walking around really! But I do appreciate it... amazing fantasy work, the whole language was invented... And Peter Jackson did an amazing work....  Also according to this film the dwarfs are either Irish or Scot...

So inspired... Survival of the fittest

Well my next race is not until November... it will be the amazing dash in the tash!:) Note to self get the tash, or come up with awesome drawing of some! I'm very excited! Especially since hubby is doing it too... fingers crossed he will get the running bug.. But today I went to see what Survival of the Fittest is all about...  Also had a look at  men's health link On the way to the bay I came across this sing... well damn right runners! It was over 3000 people doing it today! How amazing! The Bay looked super busy! People everywhere, music, runners.... it was like a sea of orange. The official Tees are orange.  So I found the finish line with the Wall of Fame  This is almost the final obstacle. The last one is the wet one:) with photographers on the other end. The relive  on runners (or shall I say survivors) faces is unreal. Don't think some of them believed they would make it this far. I saw a man dancin...

Well I Went To The Cinema

Image
Four times this week actually. Well one must entertain one self on week off while not being able to leave the passport. I saw Paranorman... very Halloween-y! And quiet dark actually... Highly enjoyable! And if you love cartoons as much as I do I would highly recommend it! In this spirit I also look forward to Frankenweeny and Hotel Transylvania!  I also met us with Dessy to see Anna Karenina...  Gosh I'm not a fan of Tolstoi as it is... To be honest the film was beautifully done, very original. But they way they perverted Russian language... And Keira Knightley is divine!  She is a wonderful actress! I must say that, she was amazing in Dangerous Method. But this film bored  me to no end. I guess it's because I'm Russian and really was really bored by Russian classics all my teen years:)   After the film we went for vino and chat! It was so much more fun then the film.... And then Viera came too.....

Everything Zen...

According to my lovely hubby this was my very 1st real gig. For me it was a happy place. Happy loud place! It has been now 2 days but I'm still dazed and remembering bits.  But let's start from the beginning... I never been that far north in UK. It was rather exciting to go away for a bit, see new places. To see Bush I was not as excited as my hubby, he was counting hours all day long, for me it was a bonus. Things to have to suffer for love :) Having a drink in the pub across from the Academy I could easily spot people who were going to the gig. Somehow you just know... They all had this hard rocking amigo look about them! People in the queue are all so different! If you saw my tweets you know what I mean. Hubby actually talks to strangers, just like me:) 1st guys we talked to went to the same gig about 12 years ago in Newport Leisure Centre as Steve did... we met them in Manchester and they are from Birmingham... There were people...

Live Events

Image
Well it was one of the points on my resolutions list is to see more live events... theatre, gigs, comedy shows... anything really. So far this year we have been to see amazing Billy Connelly. It was mother in law's Christmas present, we all had tickets! he was so amazing, non stop with no support act for over 2 and a half hours. He was just soo funny!! I was also very amused to see (rather hear) him in Brave cartoon! from  this web site . Also there is a short review... check it out! And go to see it! Super cute! Then as a Christmas present I got tickets to see amazing Imelda May. Also this event is known as my 1st gig ever. All very proper, sitting down in St. David's Hall in Cardiff. She was very preggers but nothing would have stopped her to rock on stage in these massive heels!  And then it was a present from my manager tickets to see Mumford and Sons... I have  blogged about this already According to husband it was not a real gig...

Girls Day Out....

Catering and hospitality is a different world. We all drink, eat junk, socialise with others on weekdays or Sunday nights... If your friends don't work in catering chances are you don't really see them. Most of my friends are people I worked with at some point in life. We do not work together any more so it is hard to get to spend time together. But we manage to meet up at least once a month with some of them.  This time it was just me and Dessy. Oh we went shopping and didn't buy anything, that passive shoppaholic thing... Then we went for food to this new Cuban place... Very mexican food. Home made salsas, tortillas! It was nice. The pineapple and chilly salsa is to die for! Then we always should have wine...  We ended the evening with trip to cinema. I finally got to see Magic Mike... You know the one about male strippers...  And it was as I expected... plot was a bit.. well not very good. Some questionable...

Oh cinema...

Nothing beats watching the film on the big screen of the cinema... As you know I have this special card that allows me to see as many films as I want!  Well me and hubby saw The Amazing Spiderman... Oh I thought it was very good, entertaining and so much better then the other spiderman film. Emma Stone was lovely also Andrew Garfield is funny, he seemed very good hero type one can sympathise with. Haven't seen it? Watch it. It is entertaining. Husband didn't like it! And then we went to see Ted... Oh Seth MacFarlane... All I could see is cross between American Dad and Family Guy. But it was very funny! Mila Kunis is lovely!!  So in the end I have treated my self to the men candy ... the genius of Chris Nolan. Dark Knight Rises...  I do like my men candy... Lots and lots of it! Joseph Gordon-Lewitt, Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy and Sir Michael Caine.  Also fantastic Anne Hathaway and Marion Cotilliard! ...
