Bad (good) influence

A while back, not too long ago, my hubby decided to start calorie counting and to loose some weight.  And he is doing great! I, on the other hand, never actually did any diets. I am a believer everything is good in moderation...  but he got to me. Always talking about the food and dropping pounds super easy, or he makes it look like this. And I wanted some of that! But not skinny cheese... cheese should be tasty and fatty! We all are different and of course what suits him won’t do for me. But here is what happened. I have been using my fitness pal app to help keep track of things for about a week now. And I am staying on the target calorie intake which is pretty low but because I am rather active I get extra calories.  Cooking is now a little more time consuming I need to measure stuff up and such. Think because it isn’t happening as quickly little one gets bit hungier for his dinner.  If I find it rather calming to weigh things and enter them in the app. But at the ...

I never smoked. Well I have tired when I was 18 I think but it really wasn’t something that I liked. Smelly, horrible flavour and then everything smells...  But I never had this trouble with drink.  It is fun, nice and relaxing to have a glass of wine or three after work.  To be perfectly honest it was more like a bottle of wine a day. Not great. So after my mum flew home I have decided to cut down and be more mindful about my wine consumption. Wine is my drug of choice. Well I love gin too....  I always thought that I drink because I am bored. And well this is actually true, it’s easy to sit down in front of tv show and chill with some wine... and not so much since you are chilled with wine.  So I stopped buying wine and start getting fizzy mineral water instead. Oh I love these bubbles. And you know it was strange the 1st day and now it is just magical. I maybe have a bottle of wine over couple of days but I chose a these days.  I became more productive. ...

Taking a year off...

Ever since I have discovered I can run I was doing races pretty much every summer. Exception was when we have moved away from Cardiff but even then I still did Surivial of the Fittest in 2013 and Birmingham half the same year.  Admittedly since Edgar came into our lives I exercise less even ... not at all... I still managed few races and even got the dream time of 10k in 58min.  Yeah it's a great time for some one who doesn't really take running seriously!  But this year I felt the pressure to go running. The pressure to do the races. And I didn't feel happy about it. So I maybe run once this year by my self and once with the club. But as for races... I am taking a year off.  I wouldn't say I am out of shape. We still walk a lot. Thank you Fitbit for keeping me on track. But races are complicated. I need to sign up on time and with enough time to train. Also I want to do as many as I can and can afford. Yes these things cost money. Not much but it all adds up. Also u...

Most of the time I am happy with my little wobbly bits and silly shortness... and and tiny feet that changed a lot after having a child. Yes my feet are now wide but still 2,5 size UK. So it is extra hard to buy shoes! I am growing to love myself. I had a little dance around in my underwear the other day thinking that it's not so bad. I got very into sport BC (Before Child) so even if my bits were not skinny, no tigh gap and not a very define waist... well I was happy with how I looked. I was strong! Look how not big I am... not that I am big now but I was more confident I guess...  As strength goes I am still very strong. I can very easily carry a wiggle over 15kg child around. I would break some sweat but I will be fine.  I even came with terms that yes I am a bit bigger now but size is just a number after all and the highstreet shops can't decided on sizing between them so when I am size 10 in one shop in another I would be size 14! What's is this ma...

You know how I said that every January everyone is buying gym kits and memberships?  Well I guess you can say that I am also jumping on the January band wagon and trying to improve myself. We got the juicer in the January sales and now I am mad juicing things!  It's super easy to up your fruit and veg intake. In my case, I forget to eat properly so it is definitely a must! When is everyone can just join the gym and go the gym I cannot. I have a 24hr mama job! I love it, but I miss being active. Hubby is way too busy with new opening but I am super excited I went and got some new kit, always need new one anyway and my new leggings are super fun with lots of stripes and ombre detailing! I actually think that becoming a mama made me adventurous in clothing choices...  I haven't done anything since my 6 week post-partum check up. I ran home. Real fast! So now I am doing a set challenge. 30 day 30 squats. I also decided today to add 30 crunchies, different sort...

Finally after 2 long months I am back in the gym!!!! In December with lots of work I simply did not have any time for the gym.. I know it doesn't take long or much time but I just didn't have any energy left. Work sucked it all out of me... January was the month of moving to England...So then I had to see what's where and how much they want. Have to say after paying £15 per month paying more is strange.  But my new gym has a pool! I will be going to swim... Well that is the plan really:) also one great excuse to go shopping for a swimming costume. Also I do want these.... The day after induction I woke up with muscular pain... So happy! I feel better already and I started eat better. Some how I always become very conscious of what I eat when I exercise. A lot of miso soup that make me super happy Speaking of miso soup... Is there an Asian food supermarket in Bath? Anyone? And I feel like a super woman again! Love this feelin...
