January Cure: Apartment Therapy Blog

Love the place you're in... Well at the moment I hate our house, it's just so cold, wet and unwelcoming somehow. Or maybe its just me being a crazy fool. Or maybe its after holidays blues...

Apartment therapy blog is always so inspiring and has amazing people contributing to it, I do often just look at this blog for relaxation, daydreaming and advice.

This month they trying to get us out of the rut or holiday blues with January Cure. (Also I do hope this will make me more organised in my house life)

1-Create a project list:

  • lose dvds and games next to tv
  • books and bits all over the sofa
  • untidy extensions rooms
  • all paper work all over the table and not in order and under the coffee table
  • dust... oh dust!
  • kitchen cupboards. After my lovely hubby cooked us Christmas meal the kitchen is in a mess, I actually do not know where everything is. It must be dealt with!!
2-Weekend chores (Days off chore in my case)
  • Floors and carpets
  • flowers
  • under the kitchen sink!!!
3-Mindful 10 min
The blog suggestion is to sit in the place ou never sit and have a bit of me time. I think I can do that. But I can call it...
3-Craft time!
  • Totoro paining
  • Sew a hot water bottle cover
4-Steps to success
5-Deal with your project list (one by one!)

I think it not necessarily has be be called January cure, it's just a cure to be better and I shall give it a try! Here is a link to all the list, I dare you to have a go!

I am off to tidy and orgainse all the paper work I have scattered on my coffee table under my coffee table and in my spare rooms. See you on the other side

Pretty Dresses! Golden Globes

It's like Christmas again! Dresses pretty dress, men in smart suits... love it!
I think if some one would let me play with any of these dresses I could die happy right after... Also the jewels and shoes...
There so many people looking so amazingly beautiful and so many people I do not know who they are... So my highlights are....

Kelly Osbourne

She just looks stunning! And I super love that she kept her purple hair!

Lupita Nyong'o

Now if we did not know who is she we all do now. I would love to see 12 year slave, but after my co-blogger on my favorite film is  Owen said it was very very sad film with no happy moments at all.... so I think I might have to pass on that one.

Amy Adams

I love her... Simply love her and looking truly amazing in this red gown, shame there are not many shots of the back of that dress, the dress is seriously sexy.

Naomi Watts

Now see if it was Oscar she could have been his girlfriend... Simply a movie star!

Kate Beckinsale

Another shiny shiny dress... But she also makes me think of beautiful and dangerous Amazons! Like a glmazon! Very pretty.... considering she was not nominated or anything.

I also really liked Elisabeth Moss' dress.

a rock chick! Love the dress... want this dress actually!

Also the truly magnificent were the sexy mommies to be I super digg Olivia Wild in this sequinned number

But as usual there were some outfits that I really did not like... or understand at all... Such as...

Emma Roberts

She is such a beautiful young girl and in this she just looks old! Bad! why would you want to look l=over 30+ when you are that young?!

Uma Thurman

This I do not understand... 80s look is not good....

Zoe Salanda

She is such a stunning woman but wears the dress that looks way too busy. These is so much going on, embroidery, panneling, lace and sheer... Ahgr! Too much... less is more less is more, just look at Lupita Nyong'o!

New Year

2013 was really eventful for us and a very busy year... we moved 2 times and not just around one city but we moved from Cardiff to Bath and then from Bath to Birmingham. And at the moment we are on the look out for a new place, not in another city thanks god!

We had a lovely family Christmas, Steve cooked I provided the entertainment by falling asleep, chasing the pets around and doing dishes.

We actually had a Christmas part II just this week when we went to see the family in Wales. Great time was had:) lots of food and laughs... actually I think I worked my abs coz I was laughing that much!! Wish all the holidays were like this.

I have only few goals for this year... Stay healthy, run another half marathon and just be happy. I know that sounds a bit hippy-ish but hey I can do amazing things when I put my head to it!

think this picture is an excellent example of "when I put my head to it". This handsome beast now lives with Owen. I wish I could make a copy of him for my self!

This year I will try to be more crafty and healthier.... and this is all I have planned for my self. So no stress!

Christmas traditions

I didn’t celebrate Christmas till 2006... yes, you read it right. And no I wasn’t in any cult or religions that doesn’t do Christmas. I just...
