Did you know that according to the Chinese calendar this New Year will be a year of a Snake. How exciting!  I do hope that this wise snake will make everyone's year better and more exciting!  As for me it will be an interesting one... Full of adventure hopefully and new beginnings!  As for 2012...it was an interesting year.  I found new job... decided what I want to do... lost some weight and gain some muscles... crochet a baby blanket with tassels.... became better at cooking...  2012 was also the 1st year of marriage...  Nothing new there... I mean the marriage doesn't change anything much... well now Steve calls me wife.  I have met some awesome people! And am actually super sad to leave them in Cardiff...  and the old friends....  Me b@%ches! I am already missing you greatly! For 2013 I hope for happiness and less stress then 2012...  I guess I will not be thinking about our big move next Mond

So I am obsessed with my new toy

My Addiction... TV Series...

So I had these 5 days off for my birthday... Oh it was so lovely!  I went to see Hobbit twice, by the way it is much better in 2D....  I also saw Rise of the Guardians... very nice... so I though "I shall find something else to watch"... It was actually Hobbit related well dwarf from Hobbit and major men candy Aidan Turner. So for the past few days I have been watching Being Human... and today I am up-to-date! BBC people do the great series... if you don't agree, check this list out!  Coupling, Black Books, Dr. Who, Life on Mars, Spooks, Sherlock, Pride and Prejudiced .. even Eastenders... Now last one been on the screens for decades now!  And what great writers, actors too.. Also.... Men Candy Alert! Jack Davenport, Dylan Moran, Colin Firth, Matthew Macfayden, David Tennant, Jack Barrowman, Martin Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch and of course Russel Tovey and Aidan Truner...  So I sat down and I actually found it hard to move from the sofa for f

23 again!

Image
Nobody think I'm 27, even I don't think I'm 27.... And I am being asked for an ID all the time, so logical thing was to tell everyone that I am 23... At this moment I am feeling more like 127... but it will pass... We went to Bill's restaurant with hubby. It was lovely... service style is a bit strange but maybe they haven't quiet got this yet... Table wasn't great but I guess one day I will learn to book a table for my birthday! This amaretto sour was soo good! So I had two:) We skipped the starter to save space for dessert. I had great mussels and fries. Lovely sauce with skinny fries on the side... dream! Hubby had some very good looking lamb stew. These dumplings were too good to pass on but yet, I didn't fancy them, might have to go again! Now this is a massive pumpkin cream brulee. Not quiet what I expected, thought it might be with some warm spices in it... Like pumpkin pie... but not quiet. I think there is some space to im

Some of these dwarfs are too hot to be dwarfs! Hobbit

This is what I said to Owen after watching The Hobbit... We both were very excited about this film coming out... How can you not be when from every single magazine cover there is Martin Freeman just staring at you with his hobbit ears?! and he was from Office.... and now he is internationally recognizable! I actually never been to the cinema on the opening  night...  Opening night at Cineworld was a bit different where was a dude who gave a speech and even sang the song. He seemed very excited about the whole thing:)  I haven't actually read The Hobbit an unexpected journey... I did start reading it once, but some how it just didn't go. And surly I did not read the lord of the rings... Too much walking around really! But I do appreciate it... amazing fantasy work, the whole language was invented... And Peter Jackson did an amazing work....  Also according to this film the dwarfs are either Irish or Scottish...My favorite accents! Even if one of them is

things I love at this moment...

I know some might think its all hippy shit... well I know husband will. But I'm a real Sagittarius!.... I'm ever changing... also it's hard to be a December baby... FIY my cake day is this Sunday (16th December).. At the moment I love Bush in my headphones.... I think I really started to enjoy bush since seeing them live in Mancherster  in Academy.. when I was blown away... Ripped over sized clothes with Dr. Martins on my very small feet... (only certain models fit and I don't fall out of them) Dark and sad films.... Dark like Flat-liners and sad like Painted Veil... I think I just need an occasion  to cry... it releasing the tension! One must have a reason to cry..like a sad film.... otherwise it' not fun! .... and I'm hoping to have a fantastic birthday celebrations... nothing fancy, just food, drinks, board games and people that matter!  and Moonrise Kingdom DVD :) hint people!!

Beautiful Bath

Image
It is super exciting to be moving to Bath... its a super pretty place... But then again it's super scary... leaving the life of 7 years behind...  friends... I don't know where anything is... I know that there is no Cineworld or PureGym... So any advice about where to shop where to go and what to do will be highly appreciated!! We found the flat, big move is on the 7th of January!  Super stressful...Oh and new job! Will need to remember everyone's names... again!   but I'm actually looking froward to work with Sarah and Jon again...

Official News...

We are moving to Bath... Yes, that beautiful city in Somerset...  And we need to move as soon as possible... So if anyone knows of any property please let me know:)  So I have been to Bath twice.... 1st time we took my parents down, to do all the touristy bits.  We went to see Roman Baths... on unrelated, shall I grow my hair out again?! Rather amazing place if you ask me... Also the tour of the city.  And all of us thought the same, " well this is lovely" Yesterday we went on adventure with hubby, to look for a place to rent...  It is super tricky to look for places in the city you don't really know. Well now we know that we won't be able to live in Corsham, or that we are not willing to have shared garden next to train tracks! It was super cold... Yes I know I'm Russian and really should be used to cold... But it is a different kind of cold. Husband was not dressed for the weather...  Later on the way back he

Shopping is my cardio... since the epic fall from the stairs at work it is my only cardio... Went out today... soaked! Winter is Cardiff is super wet, some places actually flooding. But I have seen some beauties...  these reindeer look so rustic and special! But we really don't have space for them... So go get them from TKMaxx My love for military style will never die!  I only need longer and skinnier legs... Well I don't have these but these Zara jeans are cute!  Speaking of military, so gutted it's cold now and I cannot wear my vintage jacket. Camo all the way!  I am in love... damn these small feet of mine! Topshop's size three is way too big for me.  All I wanted is to march out into the rain with these on my feet...  Just too cute! Need I say more? Well I love owls... I think it's a family thing! We love owls... I want one as a pet, but it seems unfair!

winter...

What pops into your mind when you hear winter???  I think of baby oranges... any kind. Satsumas, clementines... anything orange that smells like Christmas and New Year! Ideally I want some real pine or fur tree next to my oranges for a full effect..  Anyone knows where I can find some brunches of the fur trees in Cardiff??  And then I think what do to for my birthday?! I booked I think 4 days for the occasion... These lovely lights are in the shops and on the streets of Cardiff... At the moment I'm looking for my birthday present for my self...  These are super special!  Oh and Winter is coming... yeah I said it! I really need to get on with Game of Thrones books!

it's a race day!

Image
It's a race day! I had an extra long and extra bad day at the office.... got home and stayed up till 1am doing my play list.... and I am absolutely gutted that I cannot do dash in a tash.... I fell down the stairs at work last night and bruised my hip, have this light purple muscle bruise. It's super painful... Let's just say when I tried to turn on my left side when sleeping and felt lots of pain...  For the 1st time I went just to see the race... My number was there just sitting and waiting to be picked up... So sad!! But! I am super proud of hubby he finished at very respectable 1.10min! Fantastic time for the 1st race ever! Annalie did amazing too! She run it in super fast 51min!!:)  It was one great event, lots of mo around, some fake some real and very glorious!  Seen people dressed up as superheros, fuzzy animals, sexy nurses and french maids. There was even a lady running with the pram, so me and Owen decided that next time he will

A glorious MO!

Mo as in for mustache ... Movember is here and only 2 days till the next race!! Felling the buzz... Last year when I did dash in a tash I really thought it was the best race I have ever completed I do hope it will be the same this year:)  This year Hubby and Annalie are joining me.... Well, hubby did have a twisted ankle about a month ago, so he is not really confident... Annalie is overworked and feel that she won't be able to finish... I say run it's fun!!  So stay tuned for post race updates!! Super excited!!

random...

I got a collection of random and interesting pictures on my phone... so I though hey, I will share these! So object number one is a book chair... It't just so cute, looks like a real deck chair but still a book stand. I think I might want one for Christmas. It is really tricky to read and eat at the same time... Super bad habit of mine! Number 2 is a hair cut mug...  I thought it is just very funny! There are a lot of tash mugs, but why not a haircut mug? Number 3 is a window display of American Appareil in Camden... by far is my most favorite thing I have seen in recent weeks... very Gothic and dark, yet fascinating  Couldn't walk past without snapping a picture. Number 4 massive fire escape sign.... it is just soo huge!  I wouldn't seen it if I was not sat in the window of the restaurant...   Number 5 is a goat's behind...  Sometime is not the object but the angle one's looking at it. Just made me giggle.

Life is better when you have music...

Image
So many people tell me that they saw me on the street but could not get my attention...  Yes I am one of these annoying people who are in the world of their own and constantly have music blasting in the headphones...  Music makes me happy...  With music I ran better... with my race obsession it is super important!:)  I cannot say that I love certain music, I love most of it... all depends on the mood...  Lately I have been listening mostly to this...  How can you not love dudes with cellos playing metal?!

Vintage... My Love!

Image
I was always fascinated of the 50's dresses, 60's tiny skirt and flat shoes... I got married (fake wedding) in a vintage dress... Well and it was better quality then you can get on high street... and vintage is green! Don't care what you say but my snake skin clutch bag makes me think that I recycle that unknown snake fellow who had to die to become one... It's bad but hey, it's better then chuck it out, this bag has been used by me over and over again.... So I went to Cardiff Vintage Fair... There are only few vintage shops that I know of, it is almost impossible to get inexpensive vintage piece in Welsh Capital. Ebay is a life saver then... Fair was good but, lacking something... I don't know I just did not feel it there... But I did get these beauties for £7 only!! Sadly I have lost the broach last night coming back from the cinema...  So the next day after the fair I got up early and went to London... Walking throw Camden market I realised t

remember remember the 5th of November

Remember, remember!       The fifth of November,      The Gunpowder treason and plot;      I know of no reason      Why the Gunpowder treason      Should ever be forgot!  Well I don't know if you know this story... I will post the full poem soon. In my head it is not Bonfire night, or Guy Fawkes night... it's Danger Fire Night!  We had couple of incidents over last few years, no one had to go to emergency room (in case you are wondering) So our mate Dicky and his other half Karly were throwing a fire work party in their house in Newport.  It was lovely!!  I was a sous chef:) Its nice to be of help to your friends... however I still claim that I took a tip of my finger off... just a tiny tip, but still an injury Not a great picture of us, but funny... Sparkles are wonderful! Shiny shiny! Fireworks do not come out great on phone camera... They were loud and shiny too! Massive bonfire... lots of old furniture went on it. I
