Sore legs and bruised ego

You remember how excited I was to start running again . And how amazed I was at the fact that a year off and no training I some how got faster...  (One of my current books, I am all into my running) I even felt brave enough to rejoin the world of fun races and singed up for 10k and 5k races.  However due to poor health, thank you preschool, I didn’t run for over a month. With my new shiny phone that works like magic.  Also due to Snowmaggedon the 10k race is postponed until further notice. Honestly, I will not be signing up for St David’s Day race ever again. It’s second time something went wrong, even if the 1st time around I couldn’t be bothered to get you out of bed. It’s doomed I say! But I did the 5k last Sunday. It was nice little race about 200 people, fun organisation and I almost got lifted by young weight lifting champion. I would have crushed the poor fella!  As for the run it self it was a good route around the park, pretty standard actu...

Race for life 2016

I looked throw my emails and it was the 5th year me doing it by myself. In 2010 I did it with a coworker. It is rather special race for me since it is the one I have started running. I wasn't going to run it this year but one of the girls from the club was doing it and I though oh why not!  It was super busy. Super muggy. I have lost my bib prior to the race, fail! And Edgar being a truly annoying little monkey got up at dawn. Like at 4am!  But I have pulled my self together had a two hour nap before scoffing down food and making a run for the admin tent. Lucky they told me to come in early, by 10.20 they queue was so long I would have lost the will to anything!!  This year I was surprised to see a lot of young children participating. Mamas with their boys broods, and some of these boys got into the race for life spirit and wore lots of pink!  I saw and elderly lady who I can only describe and a Fairy Run Mother. She r...

It is hard to find time to do anything, cinema is one of my favourite thing to do. But now I actually have a new cinema buddy, in a way... my mother in law! We went to see Dad's army a while back and this Monday we went to see Eddie the Eagle. Dad's army was good, but Eddie the Eagle was better.  It was very uplifting, and that the victory isn't everything. Coming from Russia, it is relatively new notion to me! Basically it was great I really enjoyed it. Even with all the dirty jokes... that my mother in law took it on board and have been repeating the joke to me for two days! I left the cinema feeling rather happy! I also been to see Kung Fu Panda 3 and truly enjoyed it.  Almost cried like a big cry baby that I am. Actually that was also the day the boys stayed up at with my in laws. Now that was strange. I haven't been by my self, truly by my self, in well over 2 years (I wasn't alone, when I was pregnant either). it was rather sweet and with...
