So you know my last post about Red January... This is literally three faces of running...  no willing, determination and well just doing it ( actually it was after my run on the cool down walk)  This is hard. I keep on going... And if you ask my hubby I winged and complain. Most of it is for his benefit but yesterday I was in pain and in no fit state!  Actually I went for a class with my favourite gym instructor Matthew. He is always there to guide and have a laugh with, he is great coz I have noticed that not all instructors will take time and correct the form, posture or advice. And his music choice is good! So as usual I did get enthusiastic and I was paired up with boys... the only boys in the class. I showed them! And then I couldn’t move much the next day. So husband says go for a run, do 3km... I did 4. The next day was a longer run with husband after the school run. Oh little one loved us both taking him to school, he kept on smiling and playing catch the dada.......

Bad weather running

I am a proud member of a running club.  But I go so often that some folks there think I am new every time I turn up. It’s fair!  But I have made a return about two months ago and did so fairly regularly.  I love it. Such a bunch is supportive people and so knowledgeable about training, running, races and injuries. Find likeminded people and life is amazing! But I have a problem. Not only irregular work hours but also my terrible laziness and well unwillingness to go out and be active when it’s dark and wet, cold and windy.  But since I have a strange injury of the knee, and it was half term when I didn’t get to train much, I told myself go do it or you will fail at your next race.  My next race is today, 10th November.  I want to do it 2 minutes faster then last one!  I went to the gym regularly, always did hard rolling hills setting on treadmill and rather fast speed for me.... Wish me luck today!  Weather looks like deep of British winter, wet g...

Training.. Sticking With It & Staying Motivated.

Image
Last two weeks I only worked, slept, eat and went to the gym and back... it was good. Hard. And a lot of timing. I was waking up at certain time and leaving the house at the certain time.  The sun was shining, and it was fairly easy to do...  This week not so much. It suddenly got cold. And windy... and I started to feel all this hard work at actual work is tiring me out and all I want to do is drink red wine, eat cheese watch films and read books....  I had few days of rest... Today I woke up with slightly runny nose.  I was not going anywhere. So while in bed I checked my emails, social web sites and came across this video...  And then I got up laced up my trainers and went for a short run. Better then nothing right! 4.80K in 17 min I think it is really not bad.  It is super hard to stay motivated, especially if I know in few days we will be heading on holidays! But you got to find something. Turns out to me it is other people. Like ...

the progress so far

Image
I can say that I am actually proud of my self. I am keeping up with training.  It is also hit me, thanks to Twitter, that Survival is less then a month away.... But we are heading to Spain a week before, so I guess I will have to take my gym kit with and stay indoors for a bit and on top of what I m eating and drinking. Kind of serious holiday...  Today I woke up early and went to the gym, good tunes really keep you going and I also run home after. The GPS on my phone was a bit off so it told me that in first 5min I run 3k and my average pace was 1k per 1min 30sec. I mean come on! Would love that being true but then that would make me better than real and elite athletes! So I had to restart that... I do not feel as tired as I was last time, when I did that. I guess not doing 3 classes and then running home did help. But I'm intended to do the same again on Saturday...  So I'm keeping up with training.  But I do not have my sponsorship... Please gu...

I have singed up

Image
I have singed up for Half Marathon.... Today I have run for the 1st time in ages. I did not actually run since we moved away from Bath. But I'll come back to that.  I have booked my self for not two but three classes this morning in the gym. And boy did I work hard, I'm actually worried about waking up tomorrow and be in a lot of pain. We did circuit leg bums and tums, fast circuit when the boys came in and were showing off by lifting massive weights in compassing what girls were struggling with 10K.. and then we stayed for a abs class. Mad.  But to top it all off I have decided to run home from the gym... My kit was a bit unsuitable for that so the straps of my backpack were really rubbing and I was tired. But I almost run all the way home. It is over 3K. Good start I think.  I am fundraising for Cancer Research.. So please dig deep !  And if I did everything right u can just donate by text... VSFR85 (stands for very small feet runs) ...

Few More Days Till Cardiff 10K

Image
Only few more days till the race. I'm working till then, well 8 days in the row really. Just like the last year. This time I am managing to train more, but I still remember how hard this race was last year and how in pain I was after it. Perhaps that's why I do not get super excited about this unlike the Race for Life races! But the training is going well I guess, I can just leave the house and but out running for an hour or so. Like last night I came home tired from work got dressed into running kit and off I went... Since the sun was out there where lots of people out running... I also saw a cute squirrel and a magpie eating the blackberry. Last one was like a picture, quiet surreal for some reason. Also the outdoor fitness guys almost run me over... There I was running listening to music enjoying my self next thing I see lots of people running from the side of me into my path! Oh dear!!  On the way home I realised that I must have been go...
