2020

I don’t remember us getting excited at 2010 and shouting ah new decade! But then again the social media wasn’t what it is now and well ... we just weren’t us then.  I didn’t actually realised that I didn’t blog in December at all but it was a very stressful month with work, school and life.... We both even work New Year’s Eve. Which isn’t unusual but it is unusual since we had to drop off the offspring to grandparents and such... and then we did realised that we didn’t spend much time together at all.  So in 2020 we are very much hoping to change that.  In other things I m doing good with my zero waste swaps, stop cutting my self with a razor! Egg is thriving in school and we did get official diagnosis for him. Many doors have opened to get help.  (And boy, he loves glitter and school so much) Steve is a naturally very stubborn and can run half marathon in under 2 hours which is truly amazing!  I run that race in the worst conditions ever and didn’t melt or died...

2019 (insert inspirational thing)

2018 was a busy year. I finally rejoined the work force, Egg started big school and we got a cat. Also marched in Processions, spend 3 weeks in Russia and one week in Portugal, and Egg is starting slowly to talk!  And this was the 1st Christmas that the big guy actually got into spirit and opened all his presents... But this post is about what I hope to achieve in a new year.  I want to use less single use plastic and buy more sustainably , like from small family run brands and shops, or second hand. I have already wrote about this new greener ambition of mine.  I want to read more. It was truly hit and miss last year. If I was into it I was like an addict reading and not doing anything, I don’t think that is the way.  I want to be more organised . This is more of a having a plan and everything to have its own place. I think it might take a while. Even Netflix showing Marie Kondo tidying up show and it is glorious! I have folded and sorted some of my clothes arealdy....

Well hello 2018

And just like that another year has finished and the new one started.  It has been a busy and eventful year. But I am very much looking forward to the new challenges and events of 2018.  So this year I am hoping to: -cook more and use new recipes at least once a month -run a half marathon -become fitter -travel to Russia and somewhere else too -get the job (losing my permit really messed me up this year in job search. Would you employ anyone with no passport on hand? But I have a suspicion that my doncuments are in post sorting office waiting to be picked up tomorrow)  -read more -be a bit more healthier -use less plastic and recycle more -grow more plants, fruit and vegetables  -make more, craft and all!  Have you made any plans and resolutions? I think all these things are easily achievable. I am just hoping for a better year. And I wish you the same!

2017 bring it!

Oh the new year new me... well I have failed at few things I set off to do in the beginning of 2016.   So to revisit, I didn't get a job, I didn't get fitter... but I have started a course to retrain and move away from hospitality industry. This is a very big step into the right direction. Now just stay motivated and get in with it.  And Edgar went to nursery. Even if it is twice a week for half a day, he still goes and has grown and became a more socialble boy. He doesn't get as upset with me if say I hold a baby or isn't as shy when we meet other kids.    (Here is little man playing with vintage fisher price garage that his dad and uncle used to play) As for serenity and improved quality of our life... well we are still working on it. But we do more. We will go out and do stuff together. I rediscovered my love for things handmade. So I guess I am moving into a right direction on this point. Yay! So all and all 2016 wasn't too much of the failure in new me bs aspec...

Well here we go I am doing this! I am making resolutions... No I am setting goals for new year. Goals are better then resolutions, more achievements rather and absolute pants!  Well I don't think I know anyone who actually managed to keep up with theirs. Neither have I! Well I only made these one year, it's in right of the beginning of this blog.  Taking my birthday meltdown into considered I think setting goals is more achievable than resolutions. And it doesn't sounds so dramatic! So I only hope to achieve few things in the new year.  I want to go back to work. Just so I can have some adult conversation and Egg man can spend time with children and other people.  I want to loose a bit of flab. Hate to admired by my mother by saying that I got fat is actually right. I am rather cuddly . I also want to get as fitter as I can be because in the end of the year I want to start growing a new life:) With regards of getting back into a real ...

2013 was really eventful for us and a very busy year... we moved 2 times and not just around one city but we moved from Cardiff to Bath and then from Bath to Birmingham. And at the moment we are on the look out for a new place, not in another city thanks god! We had a lovely family Christmas, Steve cooked I provided the entertainment by falling asleep, chasing the pets around and doing dishes.  We actually had a Christmas part II just this week when we went to see the family in Wales. Great time was had:) lots of food and laughs... actually I think I worked my abs coz I was laughing that much!! Wish all the holidays were like this. I have only few goals for this year... Stay healthy, run another half marathon and just be happy. I know that sounds a bit hippy-ish but hey I can do amazing things when I put my head to it! think this picture is an excellent example of "when I put my head to it". This handsome beast now lives with Owen. I wish ...

Did you know that according to the Chinese calendar this New Year will be a year of a Snake. How exciting!  I do hope that this wise snake will make everyone's year better and more exciting!  As for me it will be an interesting one... Full of adventure hopefully and new beginnings!  As for 2012...it was an interesting year.  I found new job... decided what I want to do... lost some weight and gain some muscles... crochet a baby blanket with tassels.... became better at cooking...  2012 was also the 1st year of marriage...  Nothing new there... I mean the marriage doesn't change anything much... well now Steve calls me wife.  I have met some awesome people! And am actually super sad to leave them in Cardiff...  and the old friends....  Me b@%ches! I am already missing you greatly! For 2013 I...
