Back to the gym

Image
I finally decided it’s time… to go back to the gym.  I did start running after I had baby G but I over did it and got injured and got really unmotivated.  I am feeling just fine, a little bigger than I used to be before baby G but again it’s ok. But I am not as strong as I used to be. And I need to be ready to chase after the boys and carry at least one of them if needed to be…. So I rejoined my old gym. And on my 1st day on the way in I bumped into one of the trainers. It was nice he is one of the really nice people and was very supportive!  Week one I only managed to once for a class. It was fun! And hard. And I really felt my muscles that I didn’t feel in ages!  Week two I did two days class and just worked out by myself. I love spin classes but I did really well at it and the entire body was hurting for days. Save to say I need tk get some protein to help me with recovery.  Even after this little efforts I feel more energetic and feel like body is changing a...

Since June

So we had a “quaranteenie” this means my regular fitness level was reducing. In the end of pregnancy I was massive and getting so tired so anything more than 5k walk...  So it was time. After just about 6 weeks since having baby G. I mean it all depends now the general feeling and am feeling ready for this!  I did three runs to far. Going 1st time was a bit strange some things giggles that didn’t giggle before. And well I went on sunny afternoon and into a park, I tell you what some of people don’t know how to social distance and think that they own paths ... That day I did just over 4km. My muscles were hiring pretty much the same day. But being out for a run it was nice, feeling strong again. More like my self I guess. Even if I don’t run much. It’s nice to able to run again...  My next run was 5km but I am pretty sure the gps glitched and I run more... and I landed on pavement funny... and not funny haha. But it was fine after.  And then I did 7km. I want to run 1...

Spin class

I have always loved a good spin class. But it is difficult to come by, not the class itself but the good instructor.  I’m a member of pure gym, you know it’s opened all day long, not that I ever went at night but the thought is there, and well it’s cheap and has classes. I do variety of things but few weeks ago I attended 3 spin classes with 3 different instructors. And it was such a different experience every time.   Monday was the worst, weather it’s because I found it a bit demotivating that instructor wasn’t on the bike or the choice of music, no one needs a remix of Immigrant song by Led Zeppelin! Or maybe it was the way said instructor was giving instructions... lets just day I double check who is teaching what now. And avoid anything by this dude.  Wednesday it was the same lovely dude who did a class before. Two classes back to back with lovely softly speaking dude with fabulous chilling and melodic music damn right I got the burn on!  Wednesdays are my ...

Bad weather running

I am a proud member of a running club.  But I go so often that some folks there think I am new every time I turn up. It’s fair!  But I have made a return about two months ago and did so fairly regularly.  I love it. Such a bunch is supportive people and so knowledgeable about training, running, races and injuries. Find likeminded people and life is amazing! But I have a problem. Not only irregular work hours but also my terrible laziness and well unwillingness to go out and be active when it’s dark and wet, cold and windy.  But since I have a strange injury of the knee, and it was half term when I didn’t get to train much, I told myself go do it or you will fail at your next race.  My next race is today, 10th November.  I want to do it 2 minutes faster then last one!  I went to the gym regularly, always did hard rolling hills setting on treadmill and rather fast speed for me.... Wish me luck today!  Weather looks like deep of British winter, wet g...

Most of the time I am happy with my little wobbly bits and silly shortness... and and tiny feet that changed a lot after having a child. Yes my feet are now wide but still 2,5 size UK. So it is extra hard to buy shoes! I am growing to love myself. I had a little dance around in my underwear the other day thinking that it's not so bad. I got very into sport BC (Before Child) so even if my bits were not skinny, no tigh gap and not a very define waist... well I was happy with how I looked. I was strong! Look how not big I am... not that I am big now but I was more confident I guess...  As strength goes I am still very strong. I can very easily carry a wiggle over 15kg child around. I would break some sweat but I will be fine.  I even came with terms that yes I am a bit bigger now but size is just a number after all and the highstreet shops can't decided on sizing between them so when I am size 10 in one shop in another I would be size 14! What's is this ma...
