I love sleep!

Yesterday was good. Child had a fab morning with dada, I managed to do some studying. Then tot had a nap and picked on his dinner which was abit is downer  (guess he is still not 100% and still has that virus) but bed time was great. Fun in the bath, didn't fight with pijamas, I read him a story while he was sorting out his bedding... great day. I went to bed early in case he would get up again at 5am like he has been doing for past 5 days or so...  .....    I think this photo sums it up. He got up at 2.30am and that was that. I have tired everything ... more milk, teething gel, cuddles, take him to our bed...even woke husband up to help.... at 4.45am in the end he went to look into the gloomy night from his bedroom window so I hid in our bedroom while listening to him cooing and complaining until 5.30am I am in a very shitty mood. I love sleep. I need to sleep to function well. I blamed the kid for being mean to me and I had for a brief moment questioned our decisio...

So Egg man is two...

Yay we kept him alive for two whole years... I said this to hubby. But what I didn't say is that I remembered the birth. Also known as the very 1st time I have been in hospital, I was so scared, tired, in pain and the staff messed it up.  I'm sure that there are worst sorties out there ... But what we must know and remember there are some truly amazing ones! For example my uni frowns gave birth in 4hours to a very hansome little boy.  Why can't we tell heart birth stories? Why can't local media say one day that in so and so hospital lots of babie been born today and all happy and healthy went home... Looking into his little face as he begins to be more grown up...  And I don't care how he came to this world I am just super happy to have him

Mum v Identity

Some of you might know that I still do not know what I want to be when I grow up... So I sort of always had an identity crisis. When I fell pregnant I thought "Oh nothing will change!"... yeah right! That so well I don't want to say naive.... but yeah totally is. I struggled a lot with becoming a mother. Do not get me wrong motherhood is the most awesome thing ever! But going through the change, having some one coming out of you is ... well extraordinary and so very challenging. I had a slight baby blues but luckily I was over that fairly quickly. But then I had hard time calling my self a mummy, or refer to Egg Man is my son. So I prefer mama, and that seem to make a difference. Feels more fun! Mummy is too traditional, too sweet, then mama is different and fun. Yes, I thought about this for a while. It is hard not to be just mama.. Especially if you are staying at home with mini me. All you become is mama. It is great if you can shift the baby weight and are ...

It is hard some times to live away from your family... You do not see each other very often, frankly I do not know what we did before skype and smart phones!? But then I guess I saw them every winter for Christmas and New Year. I haven't seen my mother in the flesh since last October when we all went to Ukraine for my cousin's wedding, but it was literally for 2 days And I had so much planned... She never been to Birmingham before, so I thought we can see the Jewellry Quater museum, Botanical Gardens, Art Gallery, do a canal walk....  But between getting lost in town, drinking Guiness and unpacking our house... we didn't do much of the planned things:( I feel really guilty about this... But I have been told not to be silly do not over do it and brush my hair. Last thing never happened! She also helped us to plant things.... Lots of things.... But garden post is still to come;) Think the botanical gardens was a success... Thin...

DIY ... well I was bored:)

I always enjoyed making things... No matter what, earrings, clothes (skits and bags mainly), I'd like to think that I have this craftiness from my gran and perhaps mom. But mother mainly knits and crochets, I'm more of sewing and other DIY kind of gal.  So after watching tons of DIY videos on YouTube, I finally managed to learn about jump rings and now I can use them properly.  The cute poison bottles went to Sarah and I made little gun earrings which I gave to Rhian. However these skulls things, look a bit to white... Need some more work to them. Speaking of giving gifts, I also made a hair band for Rhian, since she is so fond of them. It was super easy to do... Ribbon came as a free gift with my Cloth Magazine . By the way this is one very inspirational mag, love it!   So measure your head, and mark the ribbon length accordingly. I left approximately an inch on each side, so I would have some space to make litt...
