baked mushrooms


Now this is our favourite snack, lunch... and simply delightful dish!


  • Large mushrooms
  • Favorited hard cheese (cheddar or parmisan)
  • Humus (optional)
  • Herbs such as oregano, basil.
  • Chilli flakes (optional)
Using the cheese grater grate the cheese on the lager side. 
Mix it with the herbs. 
Take the stem off the mushroom (you could make a soup out of stems, just put them in the freezer)
Spread a bit of humus on the mushroom (inside the cap, where the stem used to be)
Put grated cheese with herbs on top of humus.
And back for about 15min in 200 degree oven, or till the cheese is all melted and mushroom looks cooked.

Can be enjoyed by it self, or with a salad next to it.

It's a very fatty treat, so enjoy responsibly and you can always make it with low fat cheese and not add humus to it!:)
